    Intro

Hi All, I have Rently purchased a 2003 GU Y61 Patrol. Its a great car but has a few niggly issues I would love to start working through, and I figure the best way is to connect to other owners.

The Sub tank transfer does not work and the seller said they replace the module and it works for a while then stops. They did admit they have purchased one Module second hand, and one a cheap online one that they cant verify.

It has a winch that needs a new controller(that's probably not genuine.

    The cruise control doesn't work.

When I had the roadworthy done the said they thought there was a short in the main wiring loom.

Otherwise I'll follow I little oil leak to see where its coming from. She has done 404K but the engine still goes so well.

looking forward to playing around with it.

    Welcome.
I have a 2004 GU 3 with the sub tank issue. I am yet to solve it. Just ignoring it currently.
With the cruise control does it activate? Like Cruise appears on the dash when you press the button on the steering wheel, but then it won't set? (Hold speed).
If this is the symptom, check the contact switch on the top of the brake pedal (up high under the footwell). I had this little rubber pad fail and the switch wouldn't contact making the cruise control think that the brake pedal was applied.
I replaced the pad with a bolt and that pushes the switch in. Simple fix to resolve my cruise control problem.
