Hey everyone, I decided to look for a Patrol 4.2 for a big lap. Inside doesnt have to be anything fancy but engine needs to be reliable. Stock is fine. Show me what you got

I assume you are after a diesel?
Time is never wasted when your wasted all the time
WARNING: Towballs used for recoveries can, and do kill people and damage property.
There's a few good TD42's knocking around on gumtree atm mate. Best to look at a non turbo as it's likely to be better for reliability. Been happy with mine, just a little slow around town haha.
GQ Patrol, TD42 NA, 33's, Snorkel, 2" inch lift, Dual Batteries, Roof Rack, Awning... Many more to come

Still looking. Ideally a car that is mechanically A+, ready for a 12 month big lap
Pm macca86 I recall him selling his though it may be a bit out of your budget. And he's around the corner from us
Found his thread looks like its Nfs anymore

what price range are you looking at and maybe what year in particular??
04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there
I am thinking of a 4.2td GU ute ready to do the big lap. I like the ex telstra cars because of the integrated dual wheel carrier, I can then let someone make a MTB carrier on the back. By sleeping in the canopy, I can eliminate the roof top tent and thereby lowering the center of gravity (only kayak on roof instead of RTT+kayak, unfortunately means that I bought the rotatable kayak holder for nothing). Price range is depending on how complete the car is, if the car has most of I need then 23ish K + 4k to get it completely serviced and kitted out. I saw a nice GQ but the resell value of those is much lower so I lean towards a GU. I have 6 months to find one though so I take my time to find that lucky pearl (hopefully more luck with the new car compared to the previous one).
