    Yeah, it is. Went fine but if I had my time again I wouldnt waste my $$ on this bar......you get what you pay for. Which latch u referring too ?

    Yep I'm the same, we got ours under warranty after a rear end prang.

    The old ones like mine have the latch pointing up and the catch is horizontally mounted on the rear bar, being horizontal and with corrugations the catch eventually breaks off.

    The newer bars have been changed so that the catch is vertical and holds on without holding the load of the tyre.

    After you story with getting Katrol2 so close to home I have been looking local but ssssshhhhhh don't tell Nev!

    So where are the Katrol2 number plates?

    Haha, buy a silver one and Nev will never know. After all he cant even dress himself properly !!
    I am so tempted with No plates, but I think drawers are more important ATM. And I just got $350 bill from mechanics !

    Mine is vertical, pulled the end caps off today to fit reverse camera and found the arms are full of rust !! Out with the drill tomorrow.

    Your lucky it sounds like a newer bar then, not good news about the rust! I might have to look at mine also!
