    New owners need your advice

Hello everybody, we are new on this forum.
We just bought a Nissan Patrol '89 4.2L Patrol/LPG and Automatic gear box. We love our car and are on our travel around Australia and in Sydney at the moment. There is some oil dropping from the engine. Can someone help us or know's a good place to repair the car? We also want to buy some parts like a snorkel and a new waterbottle. Can you recommend something.

Thanks for your help and we hope that there is some solidarity among all Patrol owners

A good Mechanic is Drummoyne Auto care, 364 Victoria Place, Drummoyne. Keep in mind its an 1989 model so depending on how much oil is leaking this would be usual. Snorkel you can either get from ebay or ARB, TJM etc. Not sure what you mean by waterbottle

    Hello everyone,

thanks for your replys. We found a workshop next to our place, IFIXEM. Have you heard of him? He replaced a seal at the harmonic balancer and now there is no oil leaking anymore. But you never know and probably we have to fix something else and are around the other places. It is always good to know some recommended places for a repair

    Hello everybody,

we still have problems with our car. After fixing the leaks now we have some backfires and lose of power on the engine. We changed the spark plugs, got new silicone, a new cap and a tuneup. But that worked out just for half an hour. Has someone any further recommendation to check?

If your still running a contact points ignition system (this is what they came with factory) I would be replacing both the contact points & condenser.
