    motor condition for turbo kit on TD42

    Hey guys,
    I have a 93 TD42 NA GQ with 419k on the clock.
    Do you think the motor will be able to be turbo-ed this late in its life?

    She's pretty tough mate. i did mine well into the 300s. If your concerned you could get a compression test done to confirm engine condition....But.....HELL YEAH!! They love it. I think that they get an easier life once a turbo is fitted mate, everything is done easier. No More wringing its neck.

    Get a comp test done if in doubt.

    Cheers
    Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!! ....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!

    The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

    I have really noticed the difference between my mates TD42T and my TD42 NA.
    It is soooo slugish
    Can't wait to get it turbo-ed
