I need to replace my trailing arm bushes... but how do they look ;)

    Hi guys,
I just bought my first patrol a little while ago and I had it at a workshop for the roady.
It wasn´t too bad but I´ve been told by the guy that I need to replace the "front trailing arm front bushes"! Here´s the problem: I am not 100% sure what the front trailing arms look like, cause there are kind of too many arms around

I do have an idea what parts it could be and I´m stuck between two different ones. I post a picture and hopefully someone can tell me which one is the right one!!

Is it the part on the picture where it says leading/control arm?

    Thanks in advance!!

    Ivo

Control arms or Radius arms are probably what he is talking about. I have circled the bushes which I think he would be talking about, and which are normally the ones to wear out.

No I don't think so. If you read through that listing they say that "there is also suspension bushes available for the radius arms". Those ones are for the control arms on the rear diff.

Here is a search result listing a heap of them. You can pick out your particular model Patrol.

I was told to use rubber bushes rather than the neoprene ones, but I think it's a personal choice.

I think you would only need a set with the four bushes in it. That set has panhard bushes as well. No good paying for this stuff if you don't really need it.

    Maybe something like this set.

I just hope they're the ones the mechanic was talking about. Is it real hard to go and ask him to point out the rooted bushes, just to make sure. Don't want you to waste your hard earned.
