2008 re4 second gear engages but slips bad any ideas?

I have a 2008 crd auto i replaced the trans, convertor and flex play 35000k ago but have rently run into an issue and hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
The trans is an extreme build from wholesale automatics witht he heavy duty convertor and flex plate and has been great up until now.
Symptoms are it takes of in first fine and you can feel it change to second but as soon as you try and acellerate its slips badly. If your light on throttle on the flat it will get enough speed to change to third and then its like normal.
I have dropped the fluid to check if its had water get in but it was fine, a bit dark in color but no water and no material in the pan.
Anyone have an idea to where to start looking?
And this came on suddenly not a gradual thing.
    Thanks.

Have you spoken to Wholesale Automatics? They will likely give you some indication, then probably a workshop diagnosis after that? I cant help you either with the fault, just the process I would follow

Man alive, that is bloody poor form, from either a customer support or product reputation perspective.
