    GU3 GVM upgrade help

Does anyone know of an engineer in NSW that may be able to advise on GVM upgrade for a 2003 4.2T wagon. I’ve tried Pedders, Ultimate, Tough Dog - they said not without ABS. I don’t recall ABS being an option when I bought it new . Dobinsons said “too old” no chance on anything pre 2010! I don’t really want to continue running the gauntlet when towing the van.
This subject probably been thrashed to death, but I thought I’d try a new post question.

    Thanks in advance
    Graeme

Very odd responses. I have a 1997 GQ in Vic and it has a GVM upgrade, not a problem. No ABS on my rig. Keep ringing around, this does not sound right, especially on the basis its coils, shockers and maybe a diff stiffener.

When I had my 2001 Ti GVM upgrade to 3550 kg done in 2018 here in QLD, the requirements were that the vehicle had to be diesel and had to have ABS. Mine is converted to TD42T from a TB45E but engineer said that didn't matter. The Ti model had ABS as standard.
I also had to fit Cat 6 side indicators because he was changing the vehicle category to Light Commercial. I think that's where the ABS requirement comes in.
I had to fit specific Tough Dog springs and shocks and 2 degree castor bushes. He was Ok with me doing all the work and he came to my home to inspect and sign off, fix blue mod plate, etc.
I told him I had already done the Boss rear coil tower reinforcing and he said that's a good idea but not required.
