    Roof bag vs roof box

    Hi all,

I'm considering getting one of those huge roof bags from supacenter, I'm mainly attracted to the price over boxes, larger space and lower profile (300 vs 440). Just wondering are there any regrets from roof bag owners, did ya stuff ever get wet or was it the best thing you ever did?

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

All good, found it. Cheap as Chips mate. a good size, will take a swag inside if you were keen. I have used a roof bag a bit. smaller that that, Square. takes a 35 tyre inside on the roof then other stuff inside that. I used it for our forum snow trip too to carry and the snow gear up to Licola.

That SC bag looks to be a full PVC bag and your stuff should stay dry. If it didnt have the Kings logo on it it would be a way way way better bag though.....

What! You telling me he hasn’t produced them yet. Haven’t been online much but I was sure they would have been a sold out item for sure.

Redback Roof bags are the best of the lot... 0 Defects, 0 Customer complaints, 0 bad reviews... ya can't beat that record!!!

Only downside is the delivery can be a bit slow.
Dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand on the very edge of the pool and throw them fish.

Make sure you put something under the bag (between the bag and the basket) otherwise off road vibrations will rub holes in the bottom of the bag. I have a rectangle of felt under mine. IMHO bags have many advantages over boxes. Just make sure you buy a decent one that is water proof and dust proof.

Unfortunately they are scarcer than rocking horse shit. Majority of the forum members are still waiting on their order, don’t hold your breath.
Here’s a link to the manufacturer, our illustrious forum owner @AB

Check this link for some background on the delay http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...edback+rooftop
