G'day mates!
Finally made the step to register because I am inspired by DIY content creators that make me want to do it too.
My name is Hans, been living in Australia bit over 2 years now currently in Sydney.
My daily driver is a 2006 Nissan Patrol 3.0 ST diesel. Bought in Perth and traveled throughout Straya up to Darwin, down Katherine Gorge all the way down to Ayers Rock, did the Marina loop thing, drove on a 600km dirt track called the plenty highway on the way to Mount Isa. Headed up north all the way to Cooktown and drove down the coast to Sydney.
Spent 3 months camping and partying, meeting awesome people, experiencing Straya's raw beauty and just enjoying driving the beast. That's what my fiancée calls it lol.
After the big trip and 20.000 km later made up my mind, not getting rid of the beast.
I am here to hopefully meet some people, maybe meet up one day and specifically here for technical knowledge. Repairs are expensive and I used to be an apprentice car mechanic back in the day. Some jobs should be doable but need the confidence and workshop manuals and tools. Can't buy too much tools as we are still living out of our cars and housesitting fulltime as we try to save for our own house in Brisbane.
