Replacement Speakers for a 2002 GU Nissan Patrol Wagon

Has anyone recently replaced their set of 4 door speakers for a 2002 GU Nissan Patrol Wagon and where did you purchase them from?

Did my front 2 with some sound deadning not long ago. Used JBL and just got them from evilbay I reckon.

Yes, I did mine September last year.
My 2004 GU III had four blown speakers when I bought it, so I got two sets of kicker CS series 6.5" speakers from JB hi-fi.
The car came with an aftermarket pioneer head unit already, but hopefully I'll upgrade the head unit and install an amp to improve the speaker quality.

How hard were they to install and did you have any issues fitting them? Also once you had the door trims off was it simply a matter of removing the screws on the old speakers and screwing the new speakers on - all the screw holes lined up the same between old & new speakers and wiring terminals the same?

Yes those were the model I bought, the CSC654.
I got two pairs for $109 per pair in sept 2018.

They were pretty easy to fit. I cut off the factory speaker plugs and joined the new connectors that came with the aftermarket speakers by soldering the wires and using heat shrink, but you could crimp them.

The speaker screw holes didn't line up perfectly to the factory mounts, which was annoying, but I used rat tail file to elongate the holes in the speakers to match the car. Was quick and easy to do.

Also, you'll need to buy some metal screws as the factory ones are too short and the ones that come with the speakers are for timber.

The other thing I bought, after having a very difficult time removing the first door trim, was a door trim removal tool. Made life so much easier and was only $10!

I thought my head unit or wiring was the problem before I removed and tested one of my speakers.
I originally thought "how could ALL my speakers be faulty?"
But they were.

Yeah I just purchased my vehicle. When I adjusted the Balance & Fade controls on my stock radio/cassette/cd unit I can only get sound out of the front left & rear right speakers...so I think its time to replace all 4.

These ones. I got them off ebay though and were a touch more expensive at the time. Good sound but I think I really need to do the rears to get the most benefit out of them.

I'd also have to agree with getting the panel tool if you don't already. I haven't got one but I won't be taking them off again without one.
