Oil Filters

Has anyone used the Frantz or equivalent of the "dunny paper" bypass oil filters. Any findings, comments etc., good or bad.

I haven't seen anything here, mentioning them that I can remember. So a lot of regulars wont be back until say tommorrow night. You'll probably get more repies then.

Hi Grey Nomad, I have just recieved my kit in the mail today. I researched the idea of a bypass oil filter for my Patrol to increase the distance between oil changes as 5000km comes around to quick, especially on a trip. I have heard of Frantz filters and used them in industry with good results. If you do a search you'll find numerous posts on the subject on other forums.

When I finish the install on my rig I'll post some photos.
