    Hodge's new 4.2

Well folks, I finally have an additional 1.2L sitting in my drive way. Very clean outside and inside 2005 4.2 turbo intercooled ST, in white, very low Ks !
Drove it from Adelaide yesterday and pulls like a freight train! Took me a but of getting use to going from 3L to 4.2 in terms of power and clutch but I had 750km to do just that ... Couple of issues to address, but no dramas. Now to get RWC, book it in with Vicroads getting transferred and regoed and off we go.
As soon as that is done first thing shes going in for a Snorkel and 3" pipe to let her breathe a bit better.

    2005 TD42TI

One of these days I’ll have to take a 3.0 litre jobbie for a spin just to understand why it is that I made the right choice first time around. Welcome to the word of old school grunt.

Nothing wrong with my 3 ltr other than oil, Ive only just changed the glow plugs.
{dig] but you do need to drive them to fully appreciate them, and 12ltr/100K helps.

Nice work Hodge, great looking rig!

I recently went from the 3L up to the 4.2 and they are very different beasts, similar power on paper but the way the 4.2 delivers it makes it feel much stronger on the open road, yet around town I found the 3L auto to be quicker.
    Cheers Rod
