Tyres Rubbing on GU
Hi there
I have a GU and a GQ. I had 33 12.5 16 cooper stt tyres on my GQ. Factory 275 65 17 on GU. I thought I'd swap them but the stt's rub on the nissan alloy bar. (plastic back) and on the mud flaps whilst turning. I don't have any lift kits fitted. I was wondering if a 2" suspension lift would solve my problem on the back of the alloy bar. Can anyone offer me suggestions besides getting the old hacksaw out.
Regards
Dave

Hopefully a GU owner with a 2" lift can help you out here mate.
I have seen plenty of GU's with 2" and 33's without rubbing on the back but just wait until someone can confirm mate.

Thanks. Plasnart what profile are your tyres what size rim. I'm just wondering if the 12.5 profile on the 15 inch STT'S could be the problem. Do you think some coil spacers could get me out of trouble until I upgrade my suspension.
