Definitely something wrong with my deflator. I have the E-Z model and use it exactly the same as that. Possibly some kind of blockage in the line.
We looks like ill be heading to the shop when I fly home to get a replacement, as that video has put my faith back into a deflator provided it works.

I bought a Kwiky Tyre Deflator from Tigerz, basically the same as all the rest but was only $23 with free postage at the time I ordered it.
Pretty simple piece of equipment so not much can go wrong with them.

I got an arb ezy deflator and also have a ferret as I found the arb to slow. The ferret is much quicker. Having no guage is alright as I have got use to how long it takes and I have a guage I can check them with. Will double check the arb to make sure I was doing it right

I too, have the EZ tyre deflater and I also have the Ferret tyre deflaters as spares.
2011 GU8 ST 3.0 CRD, ARB Bullbar with IPF spotties, scrub bars and side steps, Snorkel, Dual Battery system, Waeco fridge, Turbo Timer, ARB Roof Rack with 5 IPF spotties across the front, Custom full Leather Bucket seats, DPchip, 3" Taipan exhaust, ARE Intercooler & scoop, Autron EGT/Boost and dual volt gauges, ARB front locker.
I've got the Stauns set to 26psi, pain in the absence to set up but so far haven't had to reset them. Also have the arb style jobbie which I find a little fiddly to use. Also have the ferret deflator which I use a lot, it's nice and compact so lives in my centre console.

Ferret's is easily the fastest...
The OP wasn't undoing the valve far enough with the ARB, the air really rushes out when it is used correctly and I use mine every time I want to go to a pressure my Stauns aren't set too (18 PSI)
Stauns work awesome, mine are 7 years old and have never let me down (excuse the pun) but there are three things to do.
1. Make sure the locking ring is tight after you set them to your desired pressure. Use a small dab of loctite if you are ham fisted like me.
2. Dont turn them by the locking ring/adjuster when you put them on the valve stem or take them off. Use the knurling on the body. If the Stauns do have a design flaw that is it. Because everything is knurled it's easy to be slack and twist the wrong bit and change the settings if it's loose.
3. If you are buried in sand watch out you don't get any grains in the Staun during the recovery as it may hold them open
Do the above and Stauns (and their knockoffs) work brilliantly

I take the valve out completely,with a air pressure gauge on hand,i do let my tyres down regulary to 10psi and I have found this is a good way to do it,quick easy and get them accurate with the gauge.

I have the ARB deflator as well as a set of Stauns, but I only use The Ferret.....quick and easy

Like Doggy I have the ARB deflator as well as a set of Stauns, 2 of the Stauns are set at 16psi the other 2 are set at 22 psi.
I'm getting lazy so use the Stauns, but mine are not as quick as TD's or I am quicker than him LOL
If I need other pressures the deflator gets a run then.

Iv had stauns for about 5 or 6 years and they work great i have 2 set to 20 for the front n 2 set to 16 for the rear. I haven't re-adjusted them in ages and they're still pretty close to the pressures. They're quicker and i recon easier than my mates arb deflator.
