Patrol in PNG - TD42

10 days ago I bought a 2012 Nissan Patrol with 7000km on the clock. I reside in PNG, where the TD42 is still available in new vehicles.

The car has the following extras:

• Safari Turbo without intercooler
• Bulbar
• Snorkel
• Towbar
• Mags
• Tinted Windows
• Hella Lights

This is an upgrade from a 1996 Mitsubishi Pajero, and so far I am very impressed. It drives a little bit like a truck, but that is what I need for the roads around here.

I look forward to getting your support as I make a few changes to the vehicle, including:

• Mirror with Android based touch screen and reversing camera
• Viper 5901 Alarm with mobile tracking

Very lucky to still get the TD42, Nissan Australia stopped making them for the emissions control back in late 2006, I think some maybe in 2007.

I don't there's many countries left that still allow it, did it come with stock turbo or not?

Aftermarket Safari turbo. They only import the base spec without turbo.

Yes, we are very fortunate here. Even the 2013 model at the Nissan dealer is a TD42 NA.

Only one downside - no OBDII :-(
