    YNOT's GU

    This is my 2003 GU3 3l auto.
Snake racing mega lift springs and tough dog shocks, superior panhards and drag link, ARB front locker, TJM rear locker, 285/75 16 MTZ's, 2 3/4 exhaust, engine saver mods,

With the original wheels refitted for on road use.

Mods still to come, steel bar work front, sides and rear. Fitting my winch, and probably replacing the suspension with something a bit lower but still flexible. Would like to make myself a roof console to fit my UHF as well. A set of crawler gears is on my wish list as well.

    Looks good Tony.

I just got my GU lifted and it made a huge difference but seeing yours with the original wheels makes the lift look enormous!

    Thanks guys,

lift is about 5 inches, and yes, it does look huge with the original wheels on.
I've never worked in communication, so that's not me. I couldn't think of anything clever for a user name, so I just spelt my name backwards.

    Hi Ynot,

Nice looking truck you have there.
I have just reduced my lift on my GU from 4" back to 3" using Sus Suspensions at Slacks Creek, QLD.
They have a flexi coil, they will give you great downward wheel travel when required.
The guy there really knows what he is talking about when it comes to what type of suspension you need for your particular truck.

Thanks Ross, camper trailer doesn't get used as much as I would like...neither does the Patrol! The camper was made by Outback camper trailers, we had the tent section made with a dog flap in it for when the hounds come camping with us.

Cheers KBOOBI, I got my panhards and drag link from Suspension Stuff and have found Shane great to deal with. It's his flexi coils I'd like to fit, along with a set of Super flex arms. I'm not sure what shocks I want yet.

edit, I just had a look at your Patrol (KBOOBI), it's looks good. That's about the height I want mine to sit. I don't need the big lift to run 33 inch tyres. How much weght do you carry as a normal load?

Interesting that you list an OKA as a previous ride, that's something different.

Here's some pics of my previous Patrols

    First Patrol; '92 ST 4.2 EFI/gas. 3 inch suspension, 2 inch body lift, 33 inch BFG AT's.

No. 2; '99 GU DX 4.2 diesel. I fitted a factory Nissan turbo kit (from a wreck) with a 3 inch Beaudesert exhaust and wound in a bit more fuel.
Snake racing mega lift springs and shocks, 2Dextreme drop arms, 3rd's adjustable panhards. Kaymar rear bar and ARB front locker. I should never have sold this one.

No.3; '94 GQ RX 4.2 EFI with LPG vapour injection. Swapped all the suspension out of No.2 into this one, and both diffs! Auxialliary fuel tank modified to suit big lift. Later fitted TJM prolocker to rear diff. TJM bullbar. This one will be for sale soon with GQ diffs and 2 inch lift.
