engine timing

want to check and possibly adjust timing on 98 patrol. has 4.5l in it electric dizzy fuel injection. do i have to do anything to computer to check or adjust timing been told i probably will have join certan terminals together manual says nothin any help would be great thanks

I dont know this engine at all. Just throught there should be some reply. The question is quite old but others may read. I would not be joining any wires together. You can do serious engine damage by get the timming wrong.
