Hello from a newbie
Hi all
This is my first venture onto a forum of any description.
I've owned a 4wd for some time now and the family has had plenty of fun checking out both the local and not so local sites. After towing the camper to Cairns in 2010 the family decided that it was time to upgrade to something more appropriate for touring - that is my shorthand for the wife wanting something more comfortable.
After searching for what seemed like an eternity I now have parked in my driveway a 2001 GU 4.2L patrol that has came with a swag of mods. So far the family (my wife) seems pretty happy with the purchase and just quietly so am I.
Plans are being put into place to tackle the Canning Stock route in 2013 with our regular touring/camping friends so I'm looking forward to tackling the remaining vehicle mods over the next few months in preparation for the trip. From what I can see this forum is going to be of great assistance.
Cheers
Andrew

Welcome, Andrew!
The Canning, which I have not travelled, seems to be an iconic trip.
