Ok, so when they did get some love do you know if there was any ill effects from the addative? Such as residue through the cooling system?

Is a radiator additive such as "Nulons head gasket repair" to fix a small weep in a gasket, a bad idea? Or do they really work without any detrimental effects to the motor?
