If you don't use it, atleast you now have a spare accessory switch spot you can repurpose... :)

This may also be a symptom of the type of certificate being used. A while back a lot of browsers and operating systems disabled early versions of TLS as they were found to be insecure.
Did you find the much shorter brown / silver handle that goes with it? Usually located in the tool roll up the back on the drivers side in the panel.
