Exactly Cuppa. Pricewise it's a no brainer really. And despite being mineral vs semi syn, the outback would still suit a TD I believe if it was the only oil you could get.

Noticed something interesting at Supercheap.
They have a 15 40 Penrite oil , apparently exclusive to them. Penrite lube guide never suggested this oil on their site . Instead it opted for the 15 50...

But holy shit looking at the prices it's not cheap.

So I won a bit of a Penrite oil pack. They asked me what car / engine etc ...
It all arrived and the motor oil is 15 50 . Checked their lube guide for the TD and it's correct.
