Mine is exactly like yours mate, maybe his has the problem

Hey mate, just got my 2006 4.2 with 90,000 ks back from the mechanics, got him to check the valve clearances only and some far there is no sound what so ever.
3 of the valves needed a slight...

Sounds the same as mine mate, my mechanic said I should get the valves adjusted but now I am not sure, may just bite the bullet and get them checked anyway

Got my 3" system on yesterday mate, that bloody rattle is still there.
Prior to putting your 3" system on please give the dump pipe studs a really good soaking, snapped one on mine and a 3 to 4 hour...

Same here, when it does it people turn around to see what the noise is

Congratulations on your new 4.2 mate you will enjoy it, I still can't get used to driving mine as it seems a bit to flash for me
