Have you done the calcs for this? Do you know the specs at all of the PTO capacity? You will need 16hp to run that pump @ 1000rpm @1500psi. And about 110nm of torque when at the 1000rpm and 1500psi....

No problems with using synthetic oil. You should always use the best oil that you can afford or are willing to pay for. Just as long as it lines up with original spec. Patrol gearboxes do prefer GL4.
