Not sure DP mate, do know down here we mostly only entrust in steel rims up there in our rocky cracking mountains.
Cold river crossings have been documented to expand/contract non steelie rims too...

That sounds like a lot of money for a generic 12000lb low mount winch to be honest. Have you considered the Runva or even the 4WD super centre units? My brother and his son both purchased the 12000lb...

I think most Kimberley offroaders would disagree with you on that TD. Mud patterns are good for wet muddy slippery conditions, but even then using them on outback dirt roads during the Wet season...
