TD blocks are a dry liner block. The old ones get pushed out and the new ones get pressed in and then usually honed to finish. Rebuilding TD42's is a fine art. You need to find a good builder...

Its a big improvement. Much better in every way. Unless you want more from it then just drive it. They aren't fast but are generally a reliable patrol.
I wouldn't touch any converted car myself. To many unknowns. I would do one myself but not purchase one already done. Converted cars are never the same. Will always be niggles either with electrics...
