That's an idea. But then Id have to maintain them which wouldn't be fun.

I pulled a tb42e box apart and I swear that all gears had syncros(will have to confirm but don't think reverse did) and there are no straight cut gears....

I'm pretty sure the GU setup is almost identical. I have a spare set of axles in the shed that I'll have a go at replacing bearings. Will have to make some tools but shouldn't be too hard.

It's roughly the same as a 33".

Well for the price I couldn't go wrong. Made in the USA and fitted for 279 a corner. Bob Jane was having them on sale for 300 fitted and I said no, so they've done ok bringing the price down....

Went with General grabber AT2. Slightly aggressive looking AT tyre.

Got new shoes fitted today. They are 285/75/16, same as my old tyres, yet they are larger? Anyone know why this is?
