Not sure if it's the same for GU's, but I had a weird issue a while back kinda similar to yours. I believe in the GQ, from what I could find/research etc, that there's a common earth that runs into...

Nope. Timing, you set the timing of your spark depending on manufacturer specs or what you are trying to achieve.
Detonation means the fuel is igniting prior to spark, which can be due to heat,...

Just in time for winter too mate, you'll enjoy the extra warmth in the heater come those cooler days.
Oh yeah, I meant to ask, your AFR gauge I guess for tuning the rich/lean on idle fuel mixture...

My dash gauge reads about the same, my temps normally between 82-84c from memory, I'd have to look at the aftermarket gauge to be sure but around there. Pretty sure that's what the stock gauge temps...

Check out the VW Passat. I bought an 08 model, probably six months ago for a bit under your budget. All the luxuries, 2L turbo diesel has plenty of poke and gets 4.6L/100km on the open road, averages...

Sounds right to me.
Only consideration would be if/when you head out bush, 98 isn't always available. I keep mine on 91 for that reason, it's out bush too often to be bothering re-timing it every...

Yeah factory loom, seems to be handling it fine. They draw the same amp's as normal globes.
For the reflectors, i got mine from qikazz 4x4 and camping. They were cheap, look good and work well.

I use these which work really well, I'm very happy with them. Still using the stock loom, apparently will get better output if I upgrade but it's good enough for me.

I've got a 1993 GQ RB30 Wagon, it's got a Hayman Reese towbar on it. Ball weight on the bar is 120kg, yet tow weight is 2.5t from memory. Is this right? 120kg seems awful light. From reading online,...
