I finally solved the nasty wobbles.

Just replaced the panhard rod bushes and it now drives like a bloody dream!

They felt fine with no movement but closer inspection showed some wear...

I did this at the same time I changed the radio to the GME. The speaker is completely redundant with the sound quality and volume that comes out of the hand piece.
