depends on if your towing or not I think
if you dont tow a van or camper - replace the main as ET said - easier to do
if you are towing all the time - I suggest the sub - as it is in the middle...

Not a biggee but IMHO the main is easier than the sub.
No extra fuel to transfer or cannot use if you can't
No issues with suspension arm clearance

I don't have a CRD nor worked on one. I have noted other in past finding total external boost control can make limp-mode hell along with possible de-rating power. This would be best answered by those...
DI at this stage, CRD's are a tad more touchy in the ECU but in reality, I don't see why it could not be used on a CRD.

I do prefer the look of the Fairline Scoop as it sculps well into the body, and most of the other scoops don't sit nearly as well on the car ......
