As ET kindly suggested Jack mate it could hopefully be as simple as a dodgey radiator cap. It has happened to me before, 1-2 litres out of the overflow bottle only upon arrival at home.

You will need an adaptor yes. I believe you can use the ZD30 TCU. jff45 used a different TCU which made gear changing different, or something like that. Hopefully he sticks his head in and clears it...

I purchased the engine kit for my TD from Engines Australia in Dandenong. It was their top kit with ceramic coasted pistons and the best in quality of everything. I can't remember the exact details...

Thinking about swapping my zd30 to td42, any ideas on cost i will be getting a shop to do it anyone recommend any shops around se qld

Most people would swap #2 with #6,7,8 & 9 and flip those 4 so #8 & 9 stayed on the 'outside'.

Reasons?
The Access to the jack stowage on the LH side is really handy for running the wiring etc etc...
