Clean your earth lead connections up. Also add another from the gearbox to the chassis. Patrols are know to have shitty earth connections.

Thanks for your help gents, it’s all working!
I just sprayed a tiny bit of carby clean lol down the carby and it fired up quietly and runs like a dream!
Must’ve dislodged some gunk etc.

Also check for a relay in the engine bay. My 2004 4.8 has a reverse relay on the passenger side next to the air filter.
