Been flat out at work lately, so haven't had a chance to get out and work on it unfortunately. And when I do get a chance it's been pissing rain, hopefully get a chance to get out there this weekend...

ARB sell the rubber flare in a kit. The outer edge of the flare is hollow and you feed a wire through this hole so you can shape corners into the rubber.

4.8 auto is the 5 speed. I thought yours was from a TB45?

I cant imagine there being a problem other than out of fashion. I have the same rim in a D shape hole and have run them for 8 years on teh GUIV and rate them highly.

Another advantage of keeping the TB45E TCU/ECU combo is that you can still do full auto trans diagnostics with an Ecutalk cable and OBD Scantech software.

You can rebuild it to Infiniti Q45 spec which is an extra friction in the forward clutch, overrun clutch and low & reverse brake. I did my own with a kit I bought from Makco Transmissions in the US....
