Was there a video link on that page? Couldn't see it but either way, great thinking on the fly to save the truck and the fish!!!! lmao

Ha ha ha..great piece of nt news!
Man,I miss the NT......thats an awesome video
Only in the NT!!!
They obviously missed the right hand curve sign! Der.
Maybe they missed the road closed sign, too?
That was some crazy stuff. I was working in Jabiru once. I don't think I would risk that.
Crazy stuff... was it worthy the 30 min...
Crazy stuff alright
Everyone says 'what an idiot,' but then nt news just keeps publishing it. And the punters expect to open the paper and read about it.
And there are some truly lucky people out there.
Alcohol may have been a source of some judgement calls to cross.

Typical NT stuff, probably a little on the tame side for some up there.
Gotto remember it was the SILLY SEASON
But you've all heard the way crossings are done in the nt? Normally you would walk an unfamiliar crossing etc. With all the crocs there, walking is really out of the question. A salty will remember a place where food regularly crosses, and of course help himself.
1. Arrive at crossing.
2. Back down to water, just dipping the back wheels in.
3. Drive up the bank and park at top.
4. Sooner or later someone will come from either direction, assume you have crossed, and barrel on through. Watch carefully.
5. a) if they make it, take the same line they took.
b) if they don't make it...

hahahahaha.... I can't wait to get back up to Darwin alongside like minded people :-P
LOL. I won't risk to do that
I guess if they got stuck they had the boat to get back to land.
