my 02 ST 4.8 Patrol
Hey guys, Here is a short run down on my recently acquired Wagon. Its a 2002 ST Patrol 4.8 Manual. When I bought it she was stock as a rock besides a Factory Winch Bar, IPF Spotties & UHF mounted in the centre console.
I have only had it for a few weeks, 1 week of which it spent at the mechanic for a few warranty issues that have still not been 100% rectified. Off to a good start seeing this is my first Petrol 4x4. I have always owned and loved diesels, after having a really bad run with my last td42t I decided to try a Petrol out.
So far I have added LED interior lighting, floor mats and a new set of rubber. It kills me to be driving something so stock but I have only had it a few weeks after all! At least I have already taken it out wheeling twice.
This is how the ever growing plan list sits at the moment
2-3" Flexy coil lift ( I want 2" to keep it legal but 3" just seems better lol )
Set of rear drawers & Cargo barrier
Dual batteries
Fridge
Winch
Possibly a front locker
Anyway that list will probably get chopped/changed/added to, here are a few pics with its new set of boots. 285/75R16 BFG KM2 Muddies

Thanks guys, she is in very good nick and it doesnt look like its been used offroad at all. Everything is completely stock. Even has nissan shock absorbers.
I have ordered a 3" flexy lift and bilstein shocks, they should be here this week sometime. A mate and I have also started on a rear drawer set up. The base is pretty much done.

It will be a twin drawer setup with fridge slide on top of the drivers side drawer to house a 60l weaco etc. There will also be two compartments at the rear of the drawers with access to the child restraints ( I dont have kids but not a bad idea to keep them accessible ) One of the compartments will probably house an AGM or Gel battery. Damn 4.8 with abs...makes it hard to fit a dual battery in the engine bay

Well a bit of an update is in order. I have installed a 3" flexy coil kit from Suspension stuff with Bilstein shocks. Im very hppy with the ride of the bilsteins, even with the swaybars temporarily removed it has next to no body roll. I will be changing from shocks though as theyre too long.

I will get some before and after pics sorted out soon
Still working on the rear drawers, havent had much time lately. Next on the list is probably an onboard compressor and a set of sliders

Sh1t hot mate a bit of flex makes all the difference ay

Real nice mate!!! We'll have to get out for a play in the dirt at some stage. I had bilsteins in my old GU and thought they were the ducks nuts.

Thanks guys, I was amazed at how well it tackled the tracks at cruiser park over the weekend. The pictures dont really do the suspension travel justice! I would be keen to hit the tracks sometime, Bigrig Im pretty sure I have seen your truck around BP capalaba.

Bit of an update. Not too much has changed. The rock sliders are on and have saved my sills a few times already! Changed the front springs to Dobinson coils and am currently playing around with the rear swaybar setup. Thinking about Changing to black steel rims with -13 offset.
