Any idea of the best brands to choose from?
I have had these in my 02 for over a year, happy with them.Attachment 82855
I'm curious if the JW Speaker is ADR approved.
I run these LED inserts and they are ADR approved in all states.

They are good lights, but nothing spectacular - more an improvement on what i have used in the past.
The speaker lights should be ADR approved as a lot of truckers use them and they are offered as upgrades. Just need to ensure they are configured for our side of the road.
I was thinking of some phillips leds ... the xtreme ones ... 12 year lifespan 5800 lumens
Do you mean the H4 halogen lamps on their website? The Y61's lamps are H4 and I'm currently running the Phillips H4's but looking for something a step up, but still ADR. Doesn't help that I now have no spotties or light bar, but I very rarely night drive this thing so I haven't forked out.
so the phillips are not that good?
Is @Lights still on here. He would be the one to ask about LEDs.

When did the LED headlights become ADR compliant ??
I had HIDs that were awesome too good I think so went
back to 90/110 globes very yellow IMO, Ill have to look
into these LED headlights as every other glone besides
are LEDsides front indicactor.
will watch and learn
99 percent sure any led bulb fitted into a housing originally designed for a halogen is not ADR approved, but the Speakers led chips are in the same spot as the filaments in a H4 bulb so they throw the same beam pattern as the halogen at a higher color temp and more lumens, and do not blind oncoming drivers, unlike HIDs. So it is unlikely you will be attracting any unwanted attention if you run with these, or any other led with the same chip placement, just avoid too high 6500k + color temps...Attachment 82864
Way better than the dim H4 halogens, and from memory they were a 2 piece design where you put in the base and fit the cap and then fit the rest in after, here is a pic Attachment 82875
