1998 TB45 Dual Fuel Hard to Start in Mornings (sometimes)

My Patrol some mornings is extremely hard to Start and when it does only runs on about 4 cylinders for a couple of minutes.
Normally I start with no Pedal but when it plays up I have to depress the Accelerator fully . It then starts after quite a few attempts.
It then runs smoothly and will start first time for the rest of the Day.
The Car always starts on Petrol and switches to Gas after a couple of minutes.
It is like it is over fuelling if it fails to start first thing.

Hope you can understand my ramblings but before I take it to a Mechanic does anybody have any ideas ??

plugs leads ..... not sure if these have a dissy as such rotor cap and button ... how are your fuel filters recently got fuel from somewhere you have never used b4 ...... i know gas cars can be hard on spark plugs

Could be a number of things. As mentioned above I would be starting with plugs if they haven't been changed recently, then leads.

A comprehensive service on plugs, leads, vac lines , etc needs doing firstly.

then the coil pack, and then the Injectors themselves

The bloody thing started first go this morning . It was 0 Degrees.
However I will do as you all have suggested .

sounds like you you have plenty of spark, but lacks a bit of fuel for start up.
Does your model have that inline cage filter, ??
Maybe give it a few pumps throttle wise on start up and see if that helps,
you must be getting up there mile wise now??
Replace all the vacuum hoses, cheap enough to do, and renew some of the fuel ines as well
Could be they have perished and cracked over time.

Hey mate, I'd be getting your injectors done if I was you, I had the same sort of thing going on with my tb45 GU, turned out 3 of the injectors were 70% blocked, and the others were leaking profusely when the engine was not running, causing it to be very hard to start.

Thanks @Nickgu Booked in to get that and other things to be serviced. Funny thing is the Truck is starting first thing and running well at the moment.
Still getting all things serviced

Maybe as the temps a bit cooler, the computer is choking it a bit more and your now getting that bit more fuel that's needed to start better.
The fellers could be onto something , just dirty injectors?.

Have you ran any form of injector cleaner before.
maybe put some in the AUX tank and go for a decent spin

Pretty sure the ECU also has its own temp sensor , if im correct, its the two wire sensor sitting next to the temp gauge sensor (one wire) ,both just near the thermostat housing.

The ECU temp sensor tells the ECU when the engine is stone cold, and that it needs more fuel to start and run (choke function), so if this sensor has a fault, it can also cause the engine to do as described, simply because the ECU thinks the engine is at running temp sometimes, when in fact, its very cold.

The Patrol has been booked in for :-

New Spark Plugs
New Vacuum Lines
New Injectors (if needed)
LPG Gas Tune
All are well and truly overdue.

@04OFF Will check the Temp with my Laptop connected

Has been starting and running well for the Last Week but still getting the above done.
