I bought it as a fully sorted Race Bike (Formula Extreme for 2 seasons) fully sorted. Balanced and Blueprinted, undercut gearbox. Still wearing race glass.
Hung it from the shed roof for 2 years and restored it back to glory. Presented it for the road with Zero Kms on the clock. Beast.
Paint, Polish, sticker kit, electroplating all done.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk cause AB turned it back on!!
I don't have one anymore but this was my sweet ride

Oh I can top that mate..... Peugeot Ludix Blaster, 50cc's of pure unadulterated.......... well .......... ummmmm ......... ok, I've got nothing
http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...2016/02/30.jpg
I've owned nearly 40 motorcycles and up until recently did not have one but a mate gave me a postie bike and irish gave me a yamaha yzf600 as a present so now i have 2.... oh and a pink 125cc Chinese dirtbike... but that does not count.
50cc scooters are awesome too if you don't have a bike license
I dont have any on my phone but currently own a YZ450F of the 2008 vintage. Have ridden a few road bikes 600 and 800 ducati monsters, kwaka gpx 250, suzuki across 250, fzr1000, yzf600 but the quickest one so far has been a gixxer 1000.
I will not buy a road bike as I tend to ride fairly fast and I most likely end up dead. I have ridden since i was 8 and raced motocross and dirt track for a few years. I will have to get a pic of my yz
Mine is on the very right of the pic. Pic was taken at the killarney trail ride.
Me same. Nothing better than the feeling off power sliding into a blind corner of dirt at full noise.....
But I started off on an 1985 XR500, then went to a Yammy TT250, which then was made a 320. Then went to a Husky WR250 (favorite), briefly to a 360, then I had a Yammy WR450F.
I've really had the itch lately to get back on, but I know, and the wife will remind me, why I stopped. I might try to think of a way to magically "score" a bike... Lol.
Ooh I can’t resist!
These two have been under blankets in the garage since 2007.
2000 Triumph Thunderbird 900cc triple & a ’74 Triumph Daytona 500 ‘special’ I built.

There have been a number of other 250 & under Japanese trail & road bikes but I cant find any pics. Honda XR185 was a great little bike & un-killable.
who's is the Hillman Hunter Cuppa?
That was the next door neighbour’s Clunk. After years of only having bikes, we bought our first car around the time of that photo, an Austin Cambridge. I think that may be it on the rear left of the photo. I reversed into that Hillman the first time I brought it home. Didn’t go down too well as I still hadn’t got my car licence by then!
Actually after having a closer look on the lappy, I think it's a Hillman Avenger rather than a Hunter........... My brother used to have an Avenger and it was common to see it parked up with the bonnet open lol..........he upgraded to a Fiat 127 - another rust bucket.
You've got some great photos there mate - great memories no doubt
Funny that, my first British bike after I sold the Kwaka 900 wast a 76 t140 bonnie also had a gold 500 Daytona and a gold flash bsa a bathtub triumph 350 and a 259 single grumpy and a couple of other bsa's too
Cuppas post feels like I've picked up an old copy of two wheels magazine haha, definitely some awesome memories there

I agree... some classics in there that are worth a small fortune today.
I started out working at St Kilda Motorcycles when I was 23 and they mostly speclialised is cafe racer singles and I spent a lot of time with the historic crowd (Mostly Jap)
I was a nut for the GPZ900r and had about 10 of them (mostly to do up and sell).
Most of the bikes I had at the start digital cameras were not about and I have not scanned the pics.
I'll have a look later for all my bike pics..
Here is a list of some of my favourites.
Kawasaki GPZ900R
GPZ900R racebike that nearly killed me at Broadford.
ZX6R 97 model (loved that bike)
CBR600f4
YZF750... classic and loved it and was from a time when there was some of the best Superbike racing
XR250 92
sr250 built as a cafe racer
TS250 my first bike I would ride on the road.
RD250 air cooled
CBR250RR racebike
CBR250R racebike
And many more shitters and projects and bikes I bought from auction to do up and sell and others I have completely forgotten.
First bike was a 65 Trophy with 66 Bonnie head on it with dunstall 2 into ones single leading shoe front brake woeful.
Then went to WA to work in the Mines, was on the list to receive one of the first black motor Kwaka 9s to come to Aust.
Boat was late holidays were due so ordered a custom black 750/4. raced them in different guises over the following years
some ended up being 10.5 sec bikes, One was nearly full Yosimura spec, Then had a rest , next was a V4 750 honda didnt like the 16" front wheel,
Too twitchy on corners, brought a cb 1100 r only 6 came to aust, fastest production bike at the time 1981.,,,,,280 kph and 10.5 out of the box
Worked at a lot of Honda dealerships throught Aust, Then I got Married and the bikes went on the back burner lol
would love to race historics
As for being a fast rider , Id say take it to the track safest place to speed everyone
going the same way, cant beat it, tracks Ive raced on were Wanneroo, in WA
then Hume weir , Calder, Winton, Sandown and even had a chance to do some
laps of the mighty Phillip Is curcuit
Current bikes:

Attachment 64585
My first road bike. 1985 vt250 Honda
Attachment 64586
After discovering the old 250 was too slow to safely overtake anything on the
highway I upgraded to the 1988 Kawasaki GPX750R
Attachment 64588Attachment 64589
Then I got a 2004 Honda CBR1000RR.. insane bike and probably had too much fun on it
Attachment 64587
I had the fireblade for about 5 years then thought its time to slow down.
Enter the 2013 103ci superglyde
Attachment 64590Attachment 64592
Turns out I still like going around corners so I bout this 2014 Kawasaki GTR1400.
Ive had it a couple of years now and it has a good blend of comfort, speed and handling.
If I ever win lotto I will be throwing a turbo on it to give it a bit more kick :)
Loving this thread guys. Even though my stable only consists of an xr100 and an xr400 lol
>>>tappin from tassie
ive currently got a BMW F650GS that i dont get to ride enuff lol, its abit small for me but all i can afford atm.
Attachment 64608
Ive also got an XR600 which lives at my old mans farm as it has no place in the city.
Attachment 64609
TBH tho, the old man has an awesome collection of bikes (most not collectable) including a 125 Ag bike(unknown model), many dirt bikes, a 2010 BMW R1200 GS
Attachment 64610
a little honda rebel which i rode for a while... incredibly small!
Attachment 64611
A BMW K75 with a sidecar fitted its quite comical and a 1938 Harley Davidson with original paint and everything except the pipes. it used to be a police bike in QLD and he inherited it from my grandfather who obtained it though his work(as a police officer) hopefully ill get the change to inherit it one day. i dont have a pic of it atm but ill scratch around and see it
Ex police bikes were a great source , Ranging from triumph 650 saints,Kwaka 650 twins even BSA gold Flash.
Not sure of any others we never had the Harley servicars in fact we never had Harleys for a while.
The bike group I rode with [the Vigilantes] were affiliated to race thats why most members had some of the fastest
street bikes going around at that time. The club is still going but now is Harley orientated. Not a fan as they dont go,stop or handle
my BIL sold one for $50k ,even late 70s early 80s ppl were fitting turbos, but to race you had to double your capacity. Meaning
most would have to race in un limited and believe me there were some very fast bike in that bracket.
Calder Park had $1.00 a run Drag nights on Friday so instead of going to the pub we'd all meet at Calder and have 10 runs each
You were mainly racing yourself to better your last time , but still heaps of fun
Back in the days in the alleys behind Elizabeth st [bike central] there was a guy called Harry ,
who was building a triple kwaka 750 H1 drag bike, for those that dont remember these were 12 sec 1/4 mile death traps
750 two stroke triples way back in the early to mid 70s. Two pipes up one side and a single on the other.
Cool Id like an early Norton dominator or a pre unit 500 triumph.
A mate of mine has a fully restored 1927 Indian chief,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
red of course
yes i had a 57 panhead harley , 37 knucklehead, 76 flh and various others as well as triumph bonnie's daytona and a few BSA's
bet you had the Knuckle head now one was on American Pickers think it was worth $30kUS
and a few things were after market, fussy yanks, it was a 38-39
That triple H1 never was finished as Harry died very early in life
Talking about Indians this is not mine but my good mate shaynes 1947 chiefAttachment 64617 it is however me sitting on it on my wedding day 11-11-2011
