Another West Aussie . . .

G'day all. Been a while since I have done any serious 4WDing. Did a bucket load while posted in Darwin some 20 yrs ago. Have had a kick around, Pajero for the last 4 yrs, but have the chance to upgrade, and I'm looking at getting a GU III. I know about the problems with them, but this one suits me.

I will be outing it with a 2" lift, Winch, drawers and roof tray for starters.

don't know until you try :)

PS: Just sold the Paj, so I'm one step closer :bananarock:

Welcome - you wont regret the step up to a GU.
And i do mean step up if your into doing some more serious off roading.
I'm sure a few pajero lovers will disagree, but ive had a couple of pajeros over the years, also many cruisers and currently on my second patrol
Value for money, ease of repair, and all round reliability you cant beat the patrol.
Bit more truck like to drive than a pajero, but a lot more capable too.

Just read up on NADS, fit gauges first.

@threedogs ~ the more I read, the more I think I need to get the engine management sorted. This GU has been logbook serviced, but still for piece of mind, I will look at that first, I think.

Anyone know if the EDS from 4wdsupacentre is worth the $$ ??

I don't think a GU3 is OBD11 compliant and am not sure if that guage will work. I have a GU4 and can't use some scanguages because mine is not OBD11.

dont know alot about the Scan Gauges - I drive a Dinosaur
but I think up to the CRD the OBD11 is ok
the CRD's have a different fitting (?).............

I dont know really...............

the best man to ask would be The Evil Twin........ very very cluey cookie monster (when he takes his Meds.............)
