Now would be a great time to service your cooling system in time for summer.
Maybe remove and clean the radiator, even get it rodded, some fresh hoses
and new OE thermostat.
Last thing you want is your camping trip spoiled.
In fact a good time to go over the Patrol and find some things that may need attention.
Dont forget to check your nuts too especially if you have a GU Y61
Noticed earlier that my overflow tank has lost about 1cm since i looked at it the other week..... Hopefully nothing to bad is happening... :(
what about checking those batteries / cleaning terminals /topping up the fluid in then if wet cell
Now that the modern radiators have plastic caps is there anything we need to look out for?

Great post threedogs! Just waiting for my new radiator to get delivered to give my cooling system a full overhaul! Especially since it's nearly build up season!
Also worth installing some kind of aftermarket temp gauge/warning system as the old gq gauges aren't always very accurate. I use 2 different systems in my rig - engine watchdog, and an in hose gauge too :bigthumbup:
Good post. I noticed that my car is now heating up till 103ish under normal load. I already have a new radiator, viscous fan and thermostat but I get the impression that the thermostat is off. Time to replace that one :)
