Dont be silly mate we where thinking of all you guys up in the storm toddie would be coping both rain and snow
stay safe guys our turn is coming
Yeah I've heard its pretty bad. All the best stay safe
Did not look pretty on the TV 135kph wind and 100mm plus rain, stay safe
Must be terrible up that way, was on the phone earlier to some of my team up there. One couldn't drive to work as they didn't have power at home, after 45mins driving had to turn back due to fallen trees. The other one is stuck at home can't go North or South and her child's school is closed, first time in 30 years.
Take care and keep safe.
Shell be right but I really feel for those who have lost their homes and stuff
It has been pretty horrid from what has been on the news, lost homes & lives - hoping all stay safe
It is bad on Sydneys Northern Beaches.
We lost our power at Mona Vale last night at 8.30 and is still out.
Huge trees down everywhere.
We went for a drive to our home at Allambie Heights to get our camp lanterns & cooking gear.
A number of road closures due to trees & flooding made the trip twice as long, when we got there the power was also down, and has been since early this morning.
Cant access the garage due to electric doors.
About 2.00am this morning a gum tree about 60ft high came down in the property behind us, levelling fences between both the properties behind & narrowly missing the houses.
A lot of shops are closed due to no power and traffic lights out everywhere.
Hope everyone is safe and well up there.

All good here, the back yard is a land mine of mud and I've had 2 drain the kids pool a few times 2 stop it from over flowing :( Have heard of a few tree's down in the area but have not come across any yet.
No snow here mate, I don't think we will ever get snow this far down the mountain, just the coldness from snow being a bit further up :(
Got the fire going at the moment :) just need more wood and plenty of it :(:(:(
Not good about the loss of life.
Stay safe all.
WOW, it's worse then I thought. The loss of life is just devestating:(
We had a fair bit of wind and rain but not so severe.
A couple of weeks ago it dumped around 30cm of snow near my property and the trees couldn't handle the weight that time of year. Took me 4 hrs to get to the property and still have a days work on the chainsaw.

Bonfire night at Kris's place :)
Nothing you can't drive over Krisso. . .
Seriously tho best wishes everyone, looks pretty full on up there.
From the news I think I head 3 lives lost when houses left their food foundations.
(A bit hard to hear in the workshop)
Crazy stuff.
They say it's equivalent to a cat2 tropical cyclone.
Thanks for the offer. Very much appreciated.
We still have no power at Mona Vale, 24hours since it failed.
Home at Allambie still had no power at about 8.00pm.
Wind & rain seems to be getting stronger.
Our plan is to stay indoors as much as possible.
Have to sign off as my laptop battery is almost flat.
Cheers
Earlier this evening I heard a ‘shellshocked’ chap from Dungog talking on the ABC radio.
He mentioned that neighbours (who he named) had had their house washed away. Those neighbours are people I know.
I’m not sure if it was the house in the video which is doing the rounds but it’s likely unless the same thing happened to more than one house.
I have tried to contact them but had no reply yet. I’m hoping they are away travelling in their OKA camper somewhere out of communication range.
Ole mother nature strikes hard when she's angry eh
No way to stop her either, latest was still only 3 lives lost
200k houses without power, they say stay indoors today
Geez guys you's are coping it hey, stay safe and see you all soon
This really is a disaster!. Just watching the news and it's full on...crazy stuff
The weather has eased quite a bit, we still have no power at Mona Vale (almost 48hours without it)
Went back to our home at Allambie Heights, the power is back on there so managed to get into the garage and collected our camp cooking gear.
One of my sons is in the building trade and told me that a house next to where he is working at North Narrabeen has been having some excavation work done under the house and rain has softened the ground causing the house to slowly slide down the hill. At this stage engineers are checking it, a crane was on the way and are hoping it can be used to support the house, but they say it might need to be demolished.
And this is the reason I live in the mountains :) I'd rather deal with bush fires that can be controlled to some degree than floods
its all sunshine and stuff here now! what a crazy past couple of days!!!
12 days straight out doing storm damage with fire service, we were run off our feet.
