hey cheers for the quick reply I think the solenoid has gone in it i locked it in then it would not disengauge so i removed the hoses under the bonnet on the fire wall and swaped them to unlock it is there any way to repair it or am i better off going for new one

The solenoids on the factory difflock do have a habit of failing, and it does sound like the problem given the symptoms
Just grab a new one ... they wont be that expensive
is it better to replace or fix the solenoid if replace is the go have u got any suggestions wear to get one from i have just about searched the internet i think looking for one thanks very much for the help happy
can anybody tell me where i can purchase new solenoids for that diff locker

You could try Nissan Spare Parts, Nisswreck4x4, or I have grabbed these contacts from another forum....

Diff lock solenoids are the same as EGR solenoids , almost bolt-on .
