Hi guys just wondering if anyone can help. I recently put a 65L dz waeco fridge into my 2004 GU I'm running duel batteries. But my problem is that after I turn the engine off the fridge only runs for a few hours the switches off for example the fridge runs fine all day on the way to camp but will switch itself off during the night. Anyone have any thought or suggestions. Thanks
Maybe you need to set the battery monitor to "Low" See section 6.4 in the Manual

How old is your second bat? I'd be thinking it's not holding charge any more. It could also be voltage drop over the cable run from front to back, in which case what TimE said would work or heavier cable.

Thank you Lemo79. I had though it might have been the cable. The bat is about 4 years.
get it load tested by an auto sparky but i would say its due for replacement.Quote:

EDIT:: if the battery is 4 YO I'd seriously think about a replacement.
also how old is your start battery
What size wire did you run from battery to fridge??
Using as a dual zone or fridge only?
I have the cfx65 normal running off a single start battery, get a couple of days without starting out of it in 25-30 degree ambient with fridge them at 0degrees on the display.
Most likely a battery issue.
Fridge only. As for wire size I'm not to sure. Would just like to thank everyone who have responded to my post. I only joint this forum today it already feels like you are all such a great bunch.:toot:
I'm the last person to give solid advice on electrical but I had the exact same issue and it turned out to be my voltage drop due to I think 6mm cable running to the rear outlet.
Along with lights for camping it was insufficient cabling. Upgraded to 2 b&s (Dazz confirm?) and happy days.
Could be other things as mentioned above too but maybe take a photo of your wiring and set up, it may help the more knowledgable folks on here.

Ideally you would require a high CCA start battery
and a deep cycle battery of 100AH or better
My start is an AC Delco sealed and my AUX is a 115AH deep cycle Trojan
,As I now run led lighting there is less pressure on my Aux battery all it does is run my 40lt Engel
Others use Optima and Full River both very good batteries
