Hi All,
I have a GU8 Patrol (with Nissan BB and TB),
and I have a quick question....
If you are allowed to make 'one and only one' mod to this Patrol what would that be?
Cheers,

Suspension. Thats 1 mod using multiple parts
x3
But if you are married a set of earplugs might be handy too so you don't have to listen to the whine from the passenger seat.
Front locker, whether it be auto, elec or air locker.
Tyres or a UHF not sure which, probably tyres if you are on stock tyres now.
Portals....
Front locker. You have the rear as standard so ithe front/back combinaton would be unstopable
A fully kitted out Td42 GQ..
What.. That's an upgrade mod...
Everyone forgot to ask the main question.
What do you want to do with the vehicle?
Touring, muddy tracks or rock climbing, sand, family truckster, etc
But all of the above comments will be needed in due course as you get addicted...lol

I got the second set of tires on it Micky Thompson STZ.
What 'I' like to do:
This will be our family vehicle too so not so much off road look. But we do lots of camping (caravan park for now) and we all do like adventure (riding, kayaking, walking and driving around bushes).
My first plan would be to take the family to a beautiful river (similar to Jamieson - which the other half loves to have bath) which can only be accessed by a 4wd (doesn't need to be too much difficult terrain as it is only a start).
Cheers,
I'd go with a 2" lift if I were you.
Defiantly suspension then as benny mentioned originally mate.

Suspension for sure.
Set of those dangly bollox for the towbar
NissanPatrol.com.au sticker either on the windscreen or the back door window , your choice for location.
Front locker.
But only one mod though benny boy only one...lol
If purely muddy bog holes, off camber slippery tracks and clay based terrain I would choose tyres over a lift any day.
No point with a lift running slicks in the mud.

decent tyres, the Patrol goes ok in stock guise, yep tyres definitely
The biggest performance gain you will get "off road" over stock is with a good set of muddies. Not sure I would call that a mod though! So my choice for the 1 only mod would be a winch, all the other mods will only get you "into trouble" (fun) the winch will get you out.
TD42T for me. But thats happening. So next is a wicked lift with bigger shoes to boot.
Tyres - they make the biggest change for the least cost
giggle gas. just for the fun of it
Over the last 4 months mine dosn't go on road either :fish:
2" lift, a real good start
