Just curious about what this is.
Its between my second battery and the fire wall.

Pretty sure that's your common rail fuel pump..

That would explain the steel tubing.

I could be wrong... But that to me looks like the Bosch ABS unit. I thought the pump was on the driver's side closer to the actual rail.
I repeat. I could be wrong.

Edit: Just checked my one, and between by second battery (passenger side) and the firewall, is my ABS unit as I mentioned above.

That's funny, that also could explain the steel tubing.
Now that you say, you would think it would be on the other side closer to the rail.

It's your ABS mate.

Certainly take the round things off it will balance out the effect of disconnecting the abs :)

They are steel tubes most likely hold some sort of fluid under pressure
