Ive got one of these xtrons dvd gps 7inch units running ozi in my car problem is everytime I switch the car off I have to restart ozie is there a way to I can keep power to the unit when im 4wding so I can keep ozie running thinking I could run a switch to the radio side of the power from the spare batt would that be safe
Not familiar with that unit Yendor would be your best
Edit:: It might have to be wired with a constant power source

Sounds like you haven't got a constant 12v connected to the radio and everytime you switch off you loose all memory. You still the wiring diagram in the instructions. That should show you which wire should be constant 12v and which is the switched 12v
On my eonon it was a thicker yellow wire going to battery (constant 12v)
I don't lose channels all is good that side of it what i want is a way to keep the unit on when 4wding so i don't have to go through the motions of opening ozi every time i restart the car
I don't think there is a way apart from reprogramming the unit ti over ride the specs which run ozi. Most units with gps need to be reactivated / turned back each time you start the car.
Check your settings and see if there is an option to select ozi to automatically start up when power is turned on.
I know Igo Primo has that option
Never thought of that will check settings now was just thinking i could run a fused wire from spare batt to switch on dash then when 4wding could just flick that switch on and stereo would stay onQuote:

Read between the lines, he doesn't lose any radio stations when he turns it off so he has constant power, it's wired up fine.
Is it OziCE or Ozi for Android?
If it is OziCE you have two choices
1. Wire your Xtronns to battery so it is always powered and Ozi doesn't shut down.
2. Setup Windows Mobile so it auto launches your OziCE on Xtronns startup IE you don't have to tap the Icon... see this link

Thanks evil twin I've had a read through the link its probably what i need but unfortunately its way above my computer skills i also run an on road gps program so would need to make it automaticly open last program used i think that makes senseQuote:

No you don't need a diode if you wire it up that way. The switch will keep the battery and accessory feeds isolated.Quote:
