My sister used to have a 2 wheel Dragstar bike until I sat on it and bent the frame.

Certainly no muscle car, but if the engine keeps going ( or not) the way it is. It will become one..
If I could get a windsor... it would be tempting

Well, ive got the "wreck" of a 11 second Torana in my garage if that at all counts :fish:
i went to a builders house that i do work for every now and again to collect a cheque for some work that i had done for him he had told me on a couple of occassions he liked the old ford GT's well while i was at his house i was delighted to find 2 in his drive way and later after drooling over the 2 in the driveway hinformed me there was a warehouse with 20 more he had rebuilt and also 2 more on the go in the back sheds all i could say was Lucky Bugger
i had a Lx torana mandarin red 186 bored out to 192 tripple webb carbs lumpy crow cam yellow terra head twin exhaust and extractors twin turbo muffelers sounded like a v8 and was quicker than a 308 the police booked me doing 220kms after i had slowed down and chewed fuel worse than a GQ lol pulled 10.5 on the quater
Love the old GT's too!!!
ive many vals but the old fords and holdens i appriciate as well.http://s1117.photobucket.com/albums/...t=100_2009.jpg
Hi All,
My other toy is my 1978 TE Cortina, have owned it for 17 years, started out as a 2.0lt 4cyl, 4 speed POS, paid $200 for it. 2 weeks later I removed 4cyl/ 4 speed, and put in a 6cyl 250 crossflow, C4 auto. Couple of years down the track built worked 250 crossflow, raced it at Bairnsdale drags for several years, was running flat 9.00 sec pass's over the 1/8 mile. Blew 6cyl, replaced that with worked 351 Cleveland/ auto, out of an XB GT look a like I had that rusted out.
Raced Cortina with 351 in Western Victoria, very disappointed, was now running high 9's to low 10 sec pass's, heaps of fuel troubles. So ditched the carby and avgas/ petrol set up and went Straight LPG, using twin VN V6 throttle bodies, times improved straight away, after tuning and playing around with different LPG set ups, now running 8.4 sec over the 1/8 mile consistantly. Problem now not being able to get all power to the track, not running slicks, just wheel spins 1, 2 & 3rd gear. Now thinking about trying to get "Club Rego" on it so that I can drive it a bit more. Also need to have decent Auto built for is as it blew auto last time I raced it. So it is now just sit in shed under car cover gathering cobwebs. Cortina doesnt run blue top section of bonnet scoop, just has twin throttle bodies with twin filters sticking out through the hole.
It's an old thread, but old cars are great :)
Our EA falcon is 26 years old with 134000 on the clock, goes like a rocket and good on fuel.....and they said the EA wouldn't last :)
My car is 23 years old and is a great 4wd the best made 4wd ever in my opinion. It's a flash 1991 GQ patrol.
Will upload photos at a later date
:p
Just browsing at the value of early Falcons and Holdens. The depreciate rapidly off the showroom floor and sink to zero dollars then appreciate faster than they originally depreciated. :)
Wish I owned a warehouse.....I'd buy a heap and store them :)
Have had a lot of cars in my time, some I miss, some, good riddance.
Currently, my GU has brought that number up to (approx) 38 cars.
Had makes and models ranging from 1973 to 2006.
Best 2 were the most recent.
1977 XC Falcon 500 Ute, Option 97 Cobra kit/paint, 351/C4/9".
Don't have the XC now, it went to make way for the GU.
I do have this little yellow 37 year old girl still here as my little project (if I ever get around to it)
See who knows what it is...
Can't seem to upload photos?
We have a 95 EF Futura wagon that we bought 15 years ago. Wife has her personal plate on it - plate is worth more than the car now.
I wanted to buy her a Territory but she refuses to part with it. It's probably a good idea because they're so easy to work on and we no longer have any fear of shopping trolleys..
