Ms Gillard and now former prime minister Kevin Rudd exit politics confident they are eligible for a parliamentary pension for life worth around $150,000 a year. They can also take new jobs and earn lucrative speakers fees on top of this amount.

Seems a unfair in a matter of speaking.

Yea it is BS. I've never liked it. And Gillard bloody upped it all threw her time.
No wonder why we're farked as a country.
Should be 10 years service like the rest of us minimum for a nice reward, not lifetime..
And the worst part they don't means test it,
So Captain Krudd who's wife is worth millions, kicks back whilst we foot the bill.
