That's a crap add!!! It looks like that is a tube rather than solid. Also not listed as 4140 Chromoly. Give them a call mate. road Safe is the brand. Also note that Kingswood Country also have one listed and they are close to your work mate. Probably the same product as the road runner.
Kingswood country tieroad
For an extra $100 you'd get a superior item. Your call mate. These will be pretty strong. I have Superiors on oath my cars but did just out a Road Safe front Drag link on the GQ and it felt great in my hand before fitting. Looked the goods mate.
Andy if you wanna call roadrunner and ask for your best price if you go pick it up so they don't have to post it, I will pick it up for you.i could give it to you in October.
Sent from my iPad using Motorculture mobile app
what a lovely caring family we have here! everyone is so forthcoming with help! i love it!!!
Thanks blokes, I'm now thinking superior. Anything that breaks on my car could break again so might save up some pennies before October.
I put a superior in mine when i bent the factory jobbie. It looks awesome, plus you get a free stubby cooler and shiney sticker. Who doesnt want another stubby cooler.
I got the Roadrunner Drag Link set for mine and is far better than the OEM but not into the rock hopper stuff so I bypassed Superior
Which one????

Just make sure you get the correct taper on the rod ends for your knuckles, road safe have it on their web site.
Thanks blokes, time to save!!!
No time for saving, put it on the credit card. The missus will never know!
Have a look here AB. Life time warranty, female Tierod ends cheap! $285

Mmmmm decisions decisions.
Thanks for your help, I might just weld a star picket on instead...lmao
A bend is a bend I would argue! Surely?
ABs tie rod reshaped to mould to the back of his front diff. Not sure if he parked on it, reversed back over something or what, regardless I'd be making a claim on that warranty if it did the same thing.
You bend it we replace it! That means I can put a bottle jack on it and lift the car I expect. Bargain at that price too.
36mm chromoly tie rod. Lifetime Warranty against Bending. Done deal.
I'm with you. But it's the same as a programme I was watching tonight On the ABC..
Went threw how much can we rally trust big business... Coke for example, their vitamin A drinks, has more sugar and less vitamin b1,2,4,5 and iron then a can of mother.. Yet Its called vitamin A..
I thought I read the same principle about these things.. 100% bend proof, until you hit something..
36 crome molly, Its going to take a fair hit, but everything can be bent.. Everything... It just depends on how dedicated you are..
Well decided to use the magic card and purchased a superior tie rod.
Holy crap their site is quite full on when purchasing goods with procedures but a solid well thought out one to ensure they are covered.
We turned my existing rod upside down didn't we Darren?
So the bend faced away from the diff?
You can't fit it upside down mate. The taper on the ends won't let you. You can fit it back to front though. Technically there is no front and back though. When you fit it fit with the bolts that tighten you ends facing towards the back of the car rather than forward as the clearance around the bottom of the left side shock could be a little close mate.
Get it close to the right length then minor adjustment with a pipe wrench once fitted then tighten the tie rod end bolts. Happy days.
