This is my cousin's shorty Safari, factory fitted in Japan.

Looks the goods Winnie...My only concern would be destroying those arches when in deep ruts or off camber tracks, etc if you didn't have those scrub bars on there.
Love the el cheapo Bunnings flares....lol
Yeah that's why he put those scrub bars on it, figured it was probably cheaper to get them put on than it would be to replace one flare haha. The soft c!ck would not even take it off road before he got those bars on in case he wrecked a flare!
Reckon you'll destroy those arches anyway if you get a good knock on the bar work

ok dumb question time, how do you attach the bunnings variety ones?
Here's my thread about them mate.

You just need some kind of tab to attach and use the existing factory screws and holes in the arches.
I have seen a lot of people just tech screw them into the body......No good!!!
cool thanks for the link , i do not have the original bolts or tabs so I will have to find some to do it , makes good sense to do it that way
You will still have the original holes in the arch so I would just contact Patrolapart or wreckers and rip off those little clips and screws. You wouldn't even need the Nissan screws to be honest. Just those little clips that pull down when the screw tightens would work.
Even small bolts and washers would work. I just don't like screwing new holes in the arch exposing raw steel for rust. Especially under the fold of the arch where wet mud sits there 24/7.
Plenty of people do it though, each to their own but try and utilize all factory things were possible.
thanks for the replies cheers
lololol...alls good...there was a solution in there for me at least....lolol
I used large flange rivets with washers on the other side
:bigthumbup:Vinyl skirting from Clark rubber also works well, used it for a vacuum skirt under the Esprit.
I'm one of those rough buggers. Used old conveyor belt and tek screwed them on. Hate pop rivets especially in vibration scenarios Attachment 45840
I ended up getting on to these...will chase them up soon ...from the states
Attachment 45912
yes ab if and when I get them and installed I have no problem being the crash test dummy lololol
I am currently asking about different widths and if available...
They are about $410.00 landed (per set)
p.s...turns out they are not in the states..but are based in Cyprus !
